Digital Transformation and E-Payment Council Holds Meeting with Ministry of Oil IT Center

The Iraqi Digital Transformation and E-Payment Council held a meeting with the IT and Communications Center at the Ministry of Oil to discuss the development of digital systems, enhancing cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and improving the ministry’s digital infrastructure. The meeting aims to support digital transformation, improve service efficiency, and reduce operational costs.

Baghdad, Iraq – In a strategic step aimed at accelerating the pace of digital transformation in state institutions, the Iraqi Digital Transformation and E-Payment Council held an important meeting with the IT and Communications Center at the Ministry of Oil.

The meeting, part of the council’s ongoing efforts, discussed ways to develop digital systems and update the IT infrastructure of the Ministry of Oil headquarters. Discussions particularly focused on enhancing cybersecurity, integrating artificial intelligence technologies, and ensuring improved operational efficiency.

The two parties also discussed developing the ministry’s current systems and restructuring the cybersecurity and AI division, as well as the importance of providing specialized training courses necessary to support the digital transformation journey.

This cooperation aims to promote digital transformation at the Ministry of Oil, contributing to improving the efficiency of services provided to citizens, reducing operational costs, and ensuring a smooth and secure transition towards an integrated digital work environment.
